Never understood tattoos. I always felt they were more about vanity then anything else for people with low self esteem. Some people do get them to commemorate something in their life, but I see that as a crutch that I have never needed. And that shit's forever and doesn't age well with the rest of your body. And farm animals, really? Does she belong to a 4H club?
I don't think I'll be getting one anytime soon.
I'm certainly not getting any on my feet.
OWWWWWW!!!! That would hurt! She's got piggies like La Diva: Fred Flinstone feet!
Yes and the tattoos make them oh so much better.
PS: I forgot all about the shoe aspect of the chile challenge. Damn! My fave new pair of shoes is a Calvin Klein wedge with metallic silver straps but nothing near as cool as some of the platforms and super high stilettos that are out now.
BTW, how did Moi send you those chilies without them getting rotten?
Ouch, Ouch, Ouch! Major Ouch! I've heard that the feet are the worst when you're getting inked. Gives me shivers just thinking about it.
Dani, do you have tattoos? Spill.
La Diva, Moi was a most generous soul and overnighted them to me in a stylish red cooler. No spoilage at all.
Hmmmm....what makes you ask?
Peppers overnighted in a spiffy cooler! Moi, you have a sweet soul.
Oh yeah, it sounds like Dani's inked.
Okay, I'll tell but no stoning allowed. ;)
I have four. A medium one on my lower back. One on my right ankle, and two more on my left. They were all very painful to have done, but the anklet was the worst. Felt like my damn foot was on fire! That was about a week and a half whine fest right there.
You know, I understand the personal reasons of wanting and getting a tattoo. It's just not something I'd do. It doesn't make it right or wrong I just know that the way I thought about things when I was 18 or 20 are sometimes vastly different than I how I think about things now (way past 18). Tattoos are way too permanent for me.
Let the stoning begin! haha! Just kidding! Dani's got a tramp stamp! I bet that ankle one REALLY HURT! ouch. A lot of my friends have the ones on the ankle that look like an anklet...
I agree with you Sham,I have a TON of friends that have tats and it's a form of expression for them.
I just could never find anything that I wanted permanently. I can't even keep the same hair colour or hair style, how could I pick an image I wouldn't get tired of?! I wanted a Betty Boop tat years ago....
I couldn't even manage to have the henna tattoo. Is it weird it made me claustrophobic? I sometimes feel that way when I wear jewelry sometimes too. Weird.
Yeah, we're all still growing into ourselves at that age. Thankfully, I love my tats but I'm not sure how I'll handle it if Elizabeth ever gets one. I would hate to see anything permanent on her beautiful body. I love her just as she is, in the body she was born with.
You are so funny Diva!
That's how I've always thought of them. Just an expression of ones self.
Sorry, La Diva wrote: My fave new pair of shoes is a Calvin Klein wedge with metallic silver straps but nothing near as cool as some of the platforms and super high stilettos that are out now. and then my mind got all preoccupied, and I totally forgot my original comment, which was:
YUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKKK!
Moi no likey the super high hooker shoes? I do! I haven't tried to walk in any of them yet though....!!!
Sham, now you have to send the cooler back to Moi with something dee-lish!
Oh yeah that was the plan.
Oh, gosh, no, I LOVEE the super high hooker shoes, whaddya kiding me, I got a coupla pair in my closet right now as we speak. My "yuck" comment was about the ugly tattooed feet. Which don't DESERVE to dip themselves merrily into a sparkly Calvin Klein wedge, non!
Hmpf, indeed.
Dani, don't listen to these curmudgeons. They must have the hungry grumpies or some other gastronomic ailment causing their ill-tempered attack on body art. "low self esteem"???; "tramp stamp"??? "Harrumph," say I.
Hmmmm, I sense a familial vibe coming from that last comment...
Hahahahha! My sister ROCKS! Love yah sweets. :)
Wow! 24 comments from such a simple post Shamu. Who knew?!
I'm waiting for Dani's Wordless Wednesday where she'll reveal her own tats. So did you sister urge you to get your tats? And what exactly are Hungry Grumpies?
