Those look like Crocs to Moi. The gal to the left in the last picture, however, appears to be wearing clogs. Neither of which are kitchen safe. All the chefs I know wear shoes with reinforced or steel toes and bottoms. Imagine what a grease spill or knife drop would do otherwise? Ouch.
Shamy, new post up that features that thingie you helped me out with, and a bunch more, including Top Chef and Bourdain connections.
My dad appreciated the Brownie camera reference and reminded me of all the other places we visited that day. Your assistance with our little trip down memory lane is much appreciated. I'm still a little cranky-pants about people dissing the Midwest, but if that's the worst I can come up with, I'm fine.

Thankie to ya, Shamy!
May we all click our heels and end up in Spain.
You're welcome Eggy.
as long as they aren't Crocs, I'm good with the color.

Not the prettiest of shoes, that's for sure!
Doesn't Mario Batali wear shoes like that? I guess it's better than an asshat.
