It Pays to Do Well Early and Often

Did you really think he was going home with Ash, Ashley and Eli on the chopping block?

Ashley was a surprise here. We thought Ash would be sent home.

I actually got to watch a new episode on time for a change. Yeah, Ash should have gone home. He pretty much offered himself up and said that the other chefs are better than him. And I really think they not only took into account the electrical problems, but the fact they had to cook on chairs. No one else had to do that.

Eli should have actually been the one to go home. Ashley owned up to the prawns (being a little under done is better than over done where shrimp is concerned) but I think he botched the gnocchi and didn't own up to it.

Also, Kevin probably won that challenge but Bravo just didn't want him to run away with this competition by winning yet another elimination. Especially after he took the money instead of immunity (which I thought was a class move).

And how about Mike I. Is he a dickhead or what?

I think this was a case of someone not fighting for themselves in terms of what they did for their dish. I agree in terms of Eli buggering up the dish but because Ashley choose not to throw his whiny ass under the bus she basically screwed herself. Of course she may have thought that there was no way she was going home when Ash conceded he did nothing. Normally that would be a one way ticket to the condo of shame. I know everyone wants to dump on Robin but Ash is not exactly fighting his way to the top of the heap, more like just getting by.
As for Jennifer I think she totally won because part of the dish. I think they worked well as a team but when you think of what was the most memorable part of the dish and it's the tomato broth, you give the win to the person who contributed that component.

And on another note, that green jumpsuit did Padma NO favors! tee hee!

I can't imagine Padma looking anything less than gorgeous. :) But, green is a hard one to pull off.

Thank you for saying that, La Diva. Padma is a beautiful woman but dang, sometimes I wonder about her fashion choices. Last night's ensemble placed her right in the middle of . . . I dunno, 1970's Malibu Hooker territory? Gah. Hideous.

That being said, I think Ash deserved to go home over Ashley. Jennifer is my fave, so I'm happy for her win.

SWEET!! 70's Malibu Hookers. A totally under served marketing demographic.
