I'll leave the critiquing to our more fashion forward readers but I will note that she wore this outfit for the whole episode so Padma must have really liked it a lot.
FASHION UPDATE: Fellow blogger and Padma Stalker Dorothy Snarker points out Padma's wardrobe change for Judges Table. Just not as groovy as the green jumpsuit.
But she DID wear another outfit, for Judges' Table. What? It's not like I freakishly follow every single garment Padma wears, cataloging them on index cards using a color-coded filing system that includes the make, model and design of each outfit...
OK I admit that I whipped through my download of this particular outfit review at lunch and when I got to the dining part and saw a quick glimpse of green I assumed it was the same. Didn't even get to the Judges Table. Guess I'll be checking after work.
And yes DS, your devotion to the Padma borders on freakish. Not as freaky as your Tina love but if Padma ever brings the funny like Ms. Fey, there might be trouble in the Snarker abode.
I just thought the pants made her look really "hippy" (as in thunder thighs, NOT Woodstock) and she's not really that way. And also that she looked like a string bean. Guess I think that the blouson jumpsuit was just not very flattering on her.
However, I always ADORE Padma's jewelry and lurved that necklace she was wearing last night. I also sometimes wonder if her earrings are from India, some of them have a very ethnic look. (I'm sure living in L.A. she buys earrings that sport an ethnic style and a Beverly Hills price!)
Y'all, no one looks good in a blouson jumpsuit. No one. Not even Die Heidi could pull it off. Thank gah for Padma that we're just talking a wee bit of augmented thighs instead of, you know. (The dreaded C.T.)

Oh. Dear. Yes we were transfixed by the jumpsuit also. We need to send that girl to Tim Gunn.
For some reason I kept thinking Charlie's Angels, the TV show.

File this one under dress, above-the-knee, diamond pattern, ivory. Ahem.

Frankly a little camel toe would have a welcome addition to an episode severely lacking both spice and innovation.
Muttering out of the side of my mouth, I thought this show was about the food...
It's a case of misdirection, if you're noticing the green blouson jumpsuit, you won't notice the uninteresting food.
ribbit.
