Radishes by Robert PappAlice Water's Chez Panisse Cafe Cookbook has got to be one of my top five cookbooks due in no small part to the luscious artwork by David Lance Goines liberally laced throughout it's pages.
Happily I have a new artist obsession to add to my collection. Meet Haley Harmon of the blog Don't Eat the Paintings. Simple but beautiful little watercolors that express a real joy and love of good food. Be sure to check her out and enjoy a visual feast.

Haley Harmon's look like stamps using the actual item. (I know they're not) There's a Japanese technique of fish printing using an actual fish. My kids each did one in preschool.

I fell in love with Cook's Illustrated when you sent me a few of them last year. Such beauty in those drawings.
Artwork that has a recipe in it - genius. This was actually the way I cooked red snapper over the summer (I added some onions) and it came out great.
I agree with you, Sham, the art is such a nice touch. I used to get CI and think the same thing. Anyone that paints with watercolours amazes me, so much can go wrong, it takes such talent as well as learning to see the "white" space.
