Blah

What happens when a foodie loses her appetite? What happens is all the plans for a long holiday weekend of eating vanishes as quickly as a dozen donuts Monday morning at the office.Had a little visitor for the holiday, a little intestinal bug who perhaps rode into my kitchen on the back of a bad oyster I used in some oyster stew.Oh we partied all right...if you call curled up in the fetal position not 20 feet away from the bathroom a party. So all my plans for cooking all weekend lost all it's appeal. Big pots of hot soup? Pass. Chowing down on that lovely Canadian blue cheese? Will have to wait. A big, hot plate of Stroud's Pan Fried Chicken? Not even that makes me hungry. And while I hadn't planned on starting a new year and a new decade with a fast......maybe that's not such a bad thing. Nothing makes you appreciate the things you love as much as not experiencing those things. However. If this goes on too much longer, I may need one of these.

Of all times to be sick, the holidays are the worst. Dr. Buzz recommends you plug into that bacon IV stat and feel better.

I would have to agree Buzz, no fun that's for sure. I'm not ready to break the glass on the emergency bacon iv just yet but it's good to know it's there.

Hope you had a good Holiday Buzz and that your upcoming year is fantastic.

Ugh. So sorry Shamy. Feel better quick.

At least the Wii Bitch will be happy this week. ;)

Nooooooooo! There's nothing worse than a stomach bug that snatches away the appetite. Feel better soon.

Doesn't happen very often that I want nothing to eat. I feel like I'm on the cusp of solving World Peace...

ooh, it didn't get better? I'm sorry it kept you down all weekend, but that last photo? bwahahahahahah.

Nope, did not get better. Today seems a little better. Bacon IV, you know it would sell. At least to idiots like me.

I am sorry you have been sick for the holidays and glad you are feeling better. Maybe you can make it to Strouds as part of your recovery. Yum.

Kathie, that's excellent advice. I plan to take you up on that.

LOL Reclining in your bed of pain with a lyre about to fall down and bonk you on the head - PERFECT!!!

The bacon IV - fabulous!

World peace - nah, take the bacon.

Glad you haven't forgotten the blogosphere even in the midst of your pain, bubba (I say this now knowing your penchant for fried chicken).

Now! Go! Rest! Avoid dangling lyres.

I think my hard head can take a wee little lyre bonking. I do love the huge orange curtain.

Can't we have both...World Peace AND Bacon IVs? I think we can. Kumbyah.

Perhaps bacon IVs would be the key to world peace. And if that doesn't work you can bonk the offender over the head with the lyre. Bada bing, bada boom, problems solved.
