Oh, wow! The Mantis Endoskeleton and the Jewelry Box were especially creepy and wonderful all at the same time.
We have a history with mantis around here.
From having an egg case hatch in the car on the way to school (cage mesh way too big to keep the babies in), you can imagine the chaos... second graders spilling, screaming, out of the car during morning dropoff.
And we used to keep them on the kitchen table in habitats. The tribe would go out and collect grasshoppers for them. While cooking dinner Ricky was over and yelled at me, 'Mrs. Ponder, Mrs. Ponder, you gotta come see this, it's eating its guts out!!'
Ah, memories...
See! Everybody has great eating memories....even if it is a mantis eating her brief mate.
Froggy, I also enjoyed the moth in the light bulb.
