It's time for Dim Sum Sunday. Let's bake. Sweet, savory, just switch that oven on and brings us something hot.
Your definition of hot may be different than mine.(Sprinkles on a cake will never be the same) Come back here this Sunday and share what you've created. Hopefully by then the Hairy Cake Nightmares will have stopped.
I know but that's the beauty of it, the field is wide open. Do you do an old favorite? Maybe something new you've been needing an excuse to try? The sky's the limit...well your oven is your limit.
Being that it's Mother's Day, maybe I can get the monsters to make cupcakes or something. We have sprinkles but I'm not going to show them the picture of this cake.
Yes! I will temporarily end this tyranny of the diet and dig into some butter, eggs, and sugar. That last photo, though? I don't care how you slice it: that's just wrong.
Yay DSS is back! Having said that, I have to tell you Sunday is a hard day for me to participate/blog. I usually try hard to stay away from cooking AND the computer on Sunday! But I have an idea that I have been wanting to try....
Sorry LaDiva, Sunday is just about the only day I can set aside to dedicate for pure cookery. I would totally understand if you couldn't participate but hope you will.
I can try to do ahead of time! I already looked at the recipe but it's directions on how to make are unclear, just lists the ingredients, so it could be a disaster. I might have a class on Sat. though and am "home" sick today....we'll see, it wouldn't be for me not WANTING TO!
Yeah - I've been looking forward to another DSS! Alas, I will be out of town. I'm gonna be the travelin' cookin' lady the next couple of weeks, I tell ya. But I might be able to bake something that would do double duty. I'll try.
That CAKE!!!!! I'm shrieking with laughter and horror at the same time.
Note to those for whom Sundays are not possible: I rarely cook my DSS offerings on the day the post is due up. I just cook, photograph, blog, and save a draft, which I then pop out of a hat on the day of the big event.
This time, though, I may still be too busy laughing at that cake to contribute. Poor Emma. ROFL Oh god. Can't. stop. laughing. This is either gonna be really good or really bad for the ole BP. ROFL OMG ist hat frosting textured to show muscle definition? ROFLROFL
