Crips...My Worlds are Colliding
From the folks across the Pond, a new brand of crisps, Crips. It was just a little over a year ago that our non-culinary sister blog brought the news that British chefs were using culled gray squirrel meat in their dishes (Squirrel Fritters Anyone?). I'm guessing there's not enough Thai Chili flavoring in the world to cover the taste of squirrel for some people.

I thought you photoshopped this but I did a search and (after wading through all the pics of the Crips and the Bloods) found these avaialable for purchase (£ 0.85 - whatever that means). They have different flavors with bears, dogs, and maybe foxes and skunks (can't see the picture too well). Why anyone would associate these animals with snack food is beyond me. Marketing FAIL I think.
So soylent green is squirrel? How did Chuck Heston get it so wrong?
Sorry you did the Google search Buzz but I did include a link right to them. Having lived out in the country and smelled dead skunk remnants on a regular basis, skunks on my snack chip bags is not something that would appeal to me but you never can tell with the British.
I don't want to know what they are made of.
But Boxer, they are lovingly baked...
Damn, that IS a worlds colliding experience! Hahahaha I wonder if my children would eat vegetables if I wrapped them in this. I have one sitting next to me acting like my insistence that she eat her carrots is equivalent to insisting she eat the carpet. Bah! Tomorrow night squirrel and crisps for dinner.

I was at my step dad's this weekend, helping him clean and organize. In the back of one of the kitchen cabinets, I found my mother's Flame Orange Le Creuset pate terrine. Took it home with me. You see where I'm going with this? PERFECT shape for roast squirrel.
