To all my friends, family and readers in the path of Irene, please keep yourselves out of harm's way and prepare as best you can for this destructive storm.
65 million people in the danger zone. About everyone knows somebody! I know two people in NYC. Two people in Boston. And then there are all the bloggy people!
We're only about a half mile from the Gulf of Mexico, but thankfully we're in a non evac zone. We have hurricane shutters for the house and a generator. Our hurricane pantry is usually stocked and ready to go if need be. The animals we would all keep inside with us. Chickens too. :)

It's good to see people taking action before the storm.
