Thank you.
Darn! I can't help you with this one.
ReplyDeleteI actually got to see TC Masters last night and I've never heard of any of these drinks either. They actually sound like names for sexual positions that you'd find in the Urban Dictionary. The Dirty Sanchez, the Roman Warhelmet, the rear admiral - I could do this all day.
ReplyDeleteBwahahahaha to Buzz :o)
ReplyDeleteActually, I can't help you much, either, as I prefer my cocktails pre-dinner. Snacks are okay, but not full meals. If I drink anything with food, it's water, beer, or wine.
I have two weeks of TIVOed telly waiting for me when I get home. Which is why I've been staying away from your blog – Top Chef Masters is my bicycle workout show.
Headed home to the desert TODAY!
Have a safe trip home Moi.
ReplyDeletebwahahaahaha to Buzz. I wish I could help, but in my world, it's sacrilege to mix anything with my vodka.
ReplyDeleteLaDiva!!!!! to the rescue?
Obviously, I got nuthin. Except a burning curiosity as to whether Boxer would accept that new bacon vodka that seems to be all the rage. Methinks that one might even entice Shamu to imbibe.
ReplyDeleteShamy, I was very curious about those drinks and am wondering about where I can find the recipes? Don't know what a ginger figgle is? Lemongrass mojito is obvious and the Coriander Mule is a take on the Moscow Mule (ginger beer, vodka and lime juice)
ReplyDeleteAs I am a wino, (which Moi can now attest to as she has witnessed my imbibing first hand!) I generally don't pair cocktails with dinner but with appetizers BEFORE dinner.
For my class: lemongrass ginger martinis with Thai red curry party bites (pork meat balls) Both are slightly sweet and spicy and the lemongrass flavor is prevalent in both the cocktail and the meatballs.
Pomegranate mint martini with fried feta stuffed green olives. The tartness of the pom juice and lemon with a cool mint finish cut through the salt and oil from the olives, a very good combo.
Miami Sunset: Campari/vodka with blood orange juice and pom juice goes very well with my Mediterranean white bean dip with garlic and rosemary.
I'll have to think about this. Have to get started on food prep for my demo for 50 tomorrow and bartending private parties tonight AND tomorrow night, so no time now!
I loved this episode for this very reason. x Ok, gotta go.....
