The Peep Madness Continues

The Winner of the Washington Post's Peep Show

My personal favorite.

I want to party with the person who built this tribute to Mad Men's incredible lawn tractor episode.

Love the details on this one especially the bunny butt.

I'm guessing the recession has left a lot of creative people with a lot of time on their hands.

  1. Daughter and friend did Zombie Gingerbread house and victims this year for Christmas. They could be their next project...

  2. The little bunny skeleton in last pic cracks me up!

  3. Nude Peeps Bunny Model and a nude on the wall. This is either total insanity or real genius - it's a fine line.

  4. Shockingly, yet another glaring difference between "we" canucks and vous Americans ... along with our much appreciated universal health care and the "what's the biggie" gay marriage issue the peep* - not such a big deal up here in the recently unfrozen North. xo les Gang

    * however I am attempting to hunt some peeps down. Walmart bound.

  7. I love the last one too - someone spent some time painting AND arranging Peeps. I'll be up with mine tomorrow.

    (that was me deleting sorry!)

  8. So intrigued to see what you come up wit? I know your excellent creative juices are flowing.

  9. (that would be "with", had I been using "wit" there would have been at least a couple of "yo's" in front of it.)

  10. Always enjoy the Washington Post entries. You picked out some fine specimens, Shamu. Gotta say, I'm partial to the blood-spattered peeps in the Mad Men one - fabulous in a twisted kind of way. Of course, looking forward to seeing what everyone around here comes up with for Peep Fest #2 as well!

  11. Just had to share this link on how to make Peepshi (Peep Sushi), “the love child of Easter and Japan: http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2010/03/peeps-recipes-how-to-make-peepshi-sushi-rice-krispies-treats-easter.html

My favorite quote: “There is no wasabi. Same goes for ginger. Peeps are sassy enough on their own.”

    Happy Peep Week!

  12. Well, I finally got around to doing my Peeps DSS and decided to put it up now over at the Buzzkill - disaster that it is. Peeps and ovens DO NOT MIX.

  13. Buzz's post is excellent, definitely check it out.

  17. my peeps are due to arrive sometime today and I don't (unfortunately) mean my entourage. A friend had plans to go to Easter Bunny mecca (Walmart) last night in the nearby bigger town so I'm expectin' a knock on the door this Fine Friday - not sure what kinda peep action I can get myself up to but I'm sure gonna try - stiff, stiff DSS competition ici.

So ya saw one of our giant blow up beavers (tres proud of) at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade Eh ? were you scared, were you really scared ? were ya dreamin' ?

  18. After a Peep Wreath, Quiche eating Peep Troops and Boxing Peeps, I'm expecting tres big Canuck Peep Action.

Canadian Giant Inflatable Beavers does make me see canucks in a whole new light.

  20. Alas my peeps were a "no show". However I do have a post planned for tomorrow's DSS that sadly does not include a single peep but is titled "Sugar, sugar, butter ..." in honour of the day.

Have ya hooked don't I ? check back Sunday morning
