A Gentle Reminder

Tom thought this dish failed in every way...
...but this dish was good enough to serve to 175 guests of Las Vegas's elite.
The Crack must be mighty fine in Las Vegas.

  1. Can I be kinda skeeved out by both of them? Though the first one looks less like an accident produced by a sneeze...

  2. Tom pointed out on his blog that the photo (including the sugar which was supposedly the theme based on the sculpture) was not what they were servecd.

In the end, the reverse decision would have only made last night less interesting. No way Robin could have survived that.

  3. I heard Tom explain that. I also saw and heard everyone's initial reaction to Eli's dish. Tom in his blog says that Robin's dish failed in every way. I don't believe that Robin's dish was WORSE than Eli's dish. Tom's contention that bottom line, the worse tasting dish always loses is not something I believe. You're right, I believe Robin would have been a disaster. I just wanted to point out that Tom makes judging decisions based on his judgment of a chef and what he believes their abilities are, not the dish placed before him.
