I'm sorry to report that this was a No Food weekend. No cooking, barely any eating unless you count a Five Hour Energy drink. I pulled a Dog Adoption Mission road trip. Ten hours one way to a little town in Kentucky to pick up this guy.

Action Jackson as it turns out. Ridding the world of evil squirrels and no fence or gate will stop him. He's a good boy but we will be in serious training mode for the next few months because counter surfing in the kitchen is a NO GO!

ReplyDeleteK-9, I know you've had your issues with Trout but I don't think it's an issue was wanting to escape a bad situation, I think it's more of a guy dog wanting to do what guy dogs love to do, chase lady hounds and hunt for furry varmints. He's only been neutered for a couple of weeks after two years of intact guy dog joy. The squirrel/rabbit thing is more self control. He doesn't get that he can get all the rabbits and squirrels he wants as long as he stays in the boundaries but we're working on it.
ReplyDeleteYes, Boxer, there are advantages to small dogs. No counter surfing and the ability to mimic carry-on luggage. Still there's nothing like a sense of security a big dog gives.

Belgian Malonois, American version (not European bred). Very smart. I'm scared to leave him alone in the kitchen for fear that opening the refrigerator door would be much too easy a challenge to get to the good stuff. The squirrels have had it pretty dang good for the spring and summer. THOSE days are OVER!
