My new favorite drink (and one I would love to make an ice pop with) is chicha morada, a Peruvian beverage made with purple corn, quince, pineapple, cinnamon, and clove. It’s not the kick-ass fermented-maize (alcoholic) version of chicha you may have seen on tv shows about Machu Pichu. It kinda tastes like pumpkin pie smells, but is surprisingly refreshing cold in the summertime.
